Global Field Experience Brought to the R&D Table

Hikvision welcomed 130 technical professionals from 56 countries and regions at its 2026 HikTech Star Tour event, held from October 28-30, 2026, at its headquarters in Hangzhou, China. The manufacturer stated its aim to directly transfer the experiences of content creators who share product reviews, unboxings, and field installation cases on social media, along with security experts, to its product and R&D teams.

Within the program, experts discussed practical field needs and technical issues directly with product managers in small group workshops. In the skill competition, teams from different geographies completed real installation tasks, practicing assembly techniques and best practice methods.

New Video Hardware and Interactive Test Areas

In special product sessions, Stitching cameras and Mini PTZ series were highlighted on the video security side. AP and AC Routers were introduced on the network infrastructure side, while new hardware in the alarm solutions category was also made available for participants to examine.

Nine interactive experience points set up within the campus showcased video surveillance systems, as well as Access Control, ProAV, Network Systems, and Smart Parking solutions. Participants had the opportunity to test devices in front of cameras in special studio rooms equipped with professional lighting.

Next-Generation AI for the SME Segment

Aiming to respond to evolving market needs, the manufacturer introduced its next-generation AI solutions designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The integrated AI ecosystem introduced was stated to focus on five main areas: safer living, more practical access, more efficient education, more integrated systems, and smarter service.

At the exhibition area of the event, it was demonstrated how hardware and software components work in SME scenarios, providing easily scalable guidelines for installation experts. Vivianna Wang, Vice President of Hikvision International Business Center, stated that the real experience gained by field experts is crucial in the continuous improvement of products and solutions.
